Panasonic Announces Newest Compact Micro System Camera,
LUMIX GX1 Excels in Speed, Image Quality and Size

It just came in about the right time as I am deciding which compact digital camera I should buy when I go travel again.On 19th December 2011, I have came to witness the latest launch of Panasonic’s premium line of Compact Micro System Camera, LUMIX DMC-GX1, which joins Panasonic’s award-winning LUMIX G Series of digital cameras. Acclaimed for their high image quality with small and compact body and lenses targeted at high amateur photographers and prosumers.

Other new introduction includes: Panasonic’s first dedicated and ‘world’s smallest’ 3D compact camera the LUMIX DMC-3D1; Touch-screen compact model LUMIX DMC-FH7, 24x superzoom LUMIX DMC-FZ150 and the first (as of 31 August 2011) integrated twin-lens 2D/3D camcorder fully compatible with AVCHD 3D/Progressive standard – HDC Z10000.

Speaking at the launch, Jeff said that: “Panasonic are offering choices and flexibility to empower our consumers in photography and videography to suit all users from point and shoot to high amateurs with the new launch of LUMIX cameras and camcorder. Panasonic partnership with Leica for 10 years has been a good venture and harnesses our Lumix brand. Our line up for lens is wide ranging from wide zoom, standard zoom, telephoto, macro, single focal length to 3D lens.”

The DMC-GX1's image quality comes from a large DSLR-sized 16 megapixel sensor and newly advanced Live MOS sensor and Venus engine with a maximum ISO of 12,800. The camera uses a Micro Four Thirds mount, and is compatible with both Panasonic and Olympus lenses including the standard 14-42mm zoom and the Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm retractable lens.

With an autofocus speed of 0.09 second -- one can focus simply by touching the subject on the 3-inch, 460,000-dot touchscreen. There's also an external EVF (external view finder) option, which attaches to the camera's hot shoe and offers a 1.44 million-dot display with 100-percent field of view. Movie buffs can capture 1080/60i HD video, with either MP4 or AVCHD compression. GX1 can also shoot in RAW, and offers the complete gamut of advanced shooting modes.

LUMIX DMC-GX1 will be available in black and silver. Panasonic will sell it as a kit with a 14-42mm power zoom lens (dual function) for RM3,099, and as a kit with twin lens 14mm plus 14-42mm for RM2,999 starting in December.

To date, Panasonic has a total of 12 compact camera models, 1 3D model, and 5 G series models ranging from GH2, G3, GF3 to GX1. GH is the flagship model with high specification line; G is the stylish and active line; GF is the compact and fashionable line and GX is the premium line.

Just back from my New Zealand holiday recently with my family. I would like to share that this is the best moment for my family bonding and happy to see my little Dylan boy ( 2 yrs 3 mths) enjoying himself with animals and nature.

Below is my simple itenary for New Zealand South Island for 8 days and 7 nights :-

Day 1 - Arrived Queenstown from Christchurch.

Day 2 - Rent a Car for 5 days. Drive and walk around in Queenstown. Visit Kiwi Bird Park.

Day 3 - Depart from Queenstown to Te Anau ... bout 1.5 hrs drive if kena saman like me ... else 2 hrs 20 mins. Arrive Te Anau Dusky Ridges. Explore Te Anau town ... very small but nice and relaxing.

Day 4 - Depart from Te Anau to Milford Sound (is a must destination for ppl who come to NZ). Spent half day there before driving back to Dusky Ridges to spent another night.

Day 5 - Depart from Te Anau to Queenstown. Drove to Wanaka (1 hr drive from Queenstown) to visit the PUzzling World. Stay a night at Queenstown.

Day 6 - Depart from Queenstown to Christchurch via flight. Spent two nights in Christchurch.

Day 7 - Spent a night and explore the Christchurch city.

Day 8 - Depart from Christchurch to KL.

I got to know their Al Funghi Olio Pasta is very special and different from others ... highly recommended as this is their signature dish. Just for RM 13.90 only for this huge portion!

I think this is the only cafe selling this luxury Black Cod fish for very very cheap! The meat is so soft and it melts in your mouth. Nice to goes with the spicy mango salsa sauce and butter herb rice ... absolute nice combination. Once you ate it, you will order second one! You can't believe that they are selling it at just RM 29.90 where outside small portion of Black Cod fish are sold at RM 40 - RM 55 per dish! This is their hottest selling dish.

The Chef came out with the Butter Herb Rice to replace the normal white rice as it gave very nice rice herbs fragrant. This Butter Herb Rice with Teriyaki Chicken & Brocolli (RM 8.90 only) is their own define recipe ... the chicken meat is soft and tender and the sauce is amazing flavourful!

Has a splendid time with the food, coffee, beverages and friendly staff service ... Love their ambience as I believe they are revolusionizing to set a new standard ambience for a coffee house.

The beer is superbly cheap and very nice to have drink and chit chat with your friends.

I spent more time with them than my Dylan boy ...

When Yve mention a joke to Coffee Chemistry Cafe staff , that Dylan boy hardly can recognize the father ... hahaha. Yve said that I hardly took Dylan boy pics but take many pics of my staff and customer ... which is true with the evidence below ... kekeke.

I feel guilty but this is the sacrifices you have to make if venture into your own business.

Yupz, F&B looks simple from the outside but it was so complex than a telco billing system ... this is all what I can say. Of course, I love this kind of challenges and complexity which satisfied me.

We create Barista and Chef ... the pillar of CCC ...

My initial plan with mybusiness partner was to open a pan mee / noodle stall in a van or at a food court ... but looking for a potential area and time to put in is difficult.

From playing Cafe World (facebook game), finally we have realised our cafe dream to a reality. It was a road full of adventures and to make it a success.

I am blessed with a great dedicated and passionate team who devoted their time into CCC ensuring we serve the best to our customer.

Lastly, a special thanks to everyone and the staff as our hardwork effort are recognized. CCC will expand and open a new outlet in a mall soon.

U have to forgive me cause I cant remember all the dishes name as I consume this a month back ...

I highly recommend this starter ... Grilled Squid with their own sauce ... seriously good stuff!

Dinner with good old friends (bloggers) ...

Firstly, this is not a food review ... so don't be shocked on the amount of food we ordered ... it was a well-planned gathering where everyone could make it for this gathering. In fact, it was all famous bloggers and foodies gathering ... hahaha.
Everyone is busy with their personal agenda and finally, everyone decided to take a short break to come out and have a chit chat.
We decided to choose Sanook Bistro and Sports Bar @ Kelana Jaya Plaza because of the great food served here and splendid lake view. Took the opportunity to bring yve and Dylan boy too ...

Couldn't believe it this was my breakfast - Pork Knuckle ...

Was travelling myself in the middle city of Munich ... I got lost actually and feeling hungry a bit ... saw this restaurant with many people buying pork knuckle ... then I saw Pork Knuckle selling for Euro 5.90 only ... darn ...hard to resist it.
Ordered one ... my Pork Knuckle food venture continues below ... really sorry for my muslim readers as this is a non-halal post.

Ta-daaa .... the Pork Knuckle ... I asked the Chef, why no sauce and so dry one (unlike Malaysia Pork Knuckle) ... the Chef told me back, try and taste first ... damn , the meat was so soft and delicious ... dunno wat sauce they marinated it ...

I tell u .... the skin is crispy like keropok only ... seriously nice ...

Juicy inside ... can remember the taste till now ...

I am done ...

This meal lasted for me till dinner ... worth the money and it was one of the most excellent Pork Knuckle I've tasted so far.

I let Yve order all the dish and I was shocked that she ordered this sinful dish ... Raw Sliced Beef meat ... salty and pepper taste ... not bad thou ... feeling so guilty when stuffing this into my stomach!

Eventually we did finished it ... at least we don't feel guily of food wastage ... then the waiter brought a bowl of rice and eggs ... guess what is the next dish ... with the left over soup on the pot, the waiter pour the rice into the pot

and then add with eggs ...

Yve decided to call it a day and not eating ... luckily this is my favourite food ... rice, soup and eggs ... add some soya sauce ... excellent taste!

Yes, I am back into blogging and eating ... I know I have been MIA lately due to my work reasons, sincerely sorry from me ... now it is time to fill up my tummy with the time I have lost with some delicious food and recommendation to you all.
It was my first time to come here and dine in this fabulous restaurant ~ MED.CHEFS @ Marche. When you see my pictures below, you will know what I meant. It was a great place to dine with family, friends and colleagues.

During my dinner, I was truly excited when I came to this restaurant. Simply being that every dishes will be cooked and well crafted by it’s Executive Sous Chef Paul Lewis. I was told that Chef Paul himself planned this menu with pure dedication with one mission, to leave his guests and KL diners hungry for more.

Having to start with a red Ruffina Aziano 2007 wine was truly a good pairing on that night. The Aziano was nice and it was a medium-bodied red wine filled with aromas of black cherries, chocolate and nut, not forgetting a hint of oak.

Selection of Breads ... a complimentary dish

We started off with a light Marche’s Pesto Pizza. It was truly fragrant, tasty, simple and nice looking thin crust pizza.

Brodetto a tomato based soup infused with seafood, garlic, tomato, saffron and white wine vinegar.

Love the homemade pasta here at Marche, the Linguine was truly lovely. It was excellent, it was bold in taste, smooth and rich with the awesome tiger prawns and scallops were paraded infused with garlic, chilli parsley and tomato.

A well crafted pasta skin made into Tortellini is not an easy thing to excute. The right pasta thickness and softness definitely it’s secret to have a successful tortellini dish. Having it stuffed with goat cheese was truly my desire. It was smooth and flavaful.

Simply love this dish a lot ... the present of mushroom can easily indentified. It was Chef Paul’s Penne layered over wild mushrooms and awesome expensive truffle and also some cut chives. I also love those large shaved parmesan cheese.

A rolled Italian flat pasta that cuts into a broad ribbon shape is called Pappardelle. Mine was filled with ragout of beef shin, green pea, oven dried tomato and gremolata.

I had a glass of white Ruffino Orvieto Classico 2009 which slightly scented with ppear and apple.

The Gnocchi was fantastic ... braised lamb shank, the whole dish came explosively fabulous. So tasty indeed. It builts up the intensity flavour of the Gnocchi itself. I found the presents of anchovies, olives and pecorino were truly interesting.

The Ocean Trout looked smartly pan seared and served on the table. The meat was fresh, soft and moist it was. Great texture too and yet filled with tiger prawn, calamari fritti, bread salad and basil pesto. Gorgeous!

Chicken Piccatta was well browned and the chicken was cooked well too. If you are into chicken dish then this one is a must order.

Wood Fired Whole Tuscan Chicken ... the whole dish was perfectly fired to the right burnt ... not easily done actually.

Balsamic Brushed Lamb Cutlets ... Perfectly grilled lamb cutlets. The taste itself was superbly good, soft and was done in light pink inside.

Florence Steak

Dessert time! ... Cannoli ... well deep fried pastry and filled with light vanilla cream cheese.

Here is my final part posting for my Paris holiday trip ... this is the continuation of my 13 hours marathon walk tour in Paris via metro train ... manage to see the day scene and the night scene.

The Louvre Museum, originally a palace but now one of the largest and most visited museums in the world, is a must-visit for anyone with a slight interest in art.
Some of the museum's most famous works of art are the Mona Lisa and the Venus of Milo.

The museum is just to big for me and yve to tour in a single day ... so what we did is just walk and have a look at every of the section and of course to see the famous Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa art and Venus of Milo ...

Beautiful night view of the Opera ... The small lake still exists under the opera building. It was the hiding place of the 'Phantom of the Opera' in Paul Leroux's famous play.

One DETV is not enough for my family ...

I have been hooked to watch DETV as it offers many channels but there is one small problem which I faced where I need to compete to watch DETV with my wife and my boy. Of course, at the end, it is always Dylan boy the winner as we need to accomodate his request else he will shout and cry out loud.

I love this the most whenever it rains heavily, my neighbours who is on Astro will not able to watch TV and they will turned off their TV while I still able to watch it with my DETV ...

This is Yve's favourite DETV programme - what else can it be ... FashionOne TV ... all about Fashion only!

The control of the channels is in your hand ... you can just simply pause the show, fast forward and play back again. Can you do that with your normal Astro? Can't right but not with DETV

Time for me to take a leak, I paused the channel! Awesome experience ...

It's Party Time Again ...

Celcom XPLAY Shout Awards Pre-Party was held at The Library, e@Curve last Saturday, one of the hippest and coolest club in town.
For those who got free passes from Xpax's Facebook page, you would have gotten your one free drink but all you had to do was reload RM30 for free flow of drinks all night long! Its like they were paying you to reload your phone. =]

Mizz Nina was there performing ... amazed with her dance and song! Along with other awesome local acts such as Hujan and Disagree.
They were having Battle of the Bands competition as well and free flow all night long - Beer!

It was really crowded even before the event started. Everybody wanted a good seat to enjoy the performances of the night.

I was introduced this place by Joel ... he brought me and my partner here to try out their cafe and to see the environment. The next day, I brought Yve and Dylan to try out the coffee here since Yve love coffee and so as well for Dylan boy.
Indeed when I arrive this 'English' look cafe ... I thought the price of the coffee is very expensive but I was wrong ... I can say it is fairly cheaper than Starbucks ...

10.10.10 it was a very auspicious date for all kind of events and it couldn't be more special for May who borned on 10th October. Her friends have organized this special Private Party for May to celebrate her birthday with more than 60 guests.
I am truly excited to be the photographer and this was my first time to come to Social @ KL ... really a nice place to be.

It was a 9pm to 1am event and guess what, I totally did not feel tired as I was entertained by the guests with cigar and couple shots of liquor ... truly enjoy myself there with the friendly hospitality.

Purposely online to search more information about DSLR camera and how to operate it especially in Manual mode.
When I got my first DSLR, the next 3 weeks, I have a wedding photography job ... this is how tense am I and enable me to learn much quickly by practising ...

Practising the focus and bokeh effect ... not much bokeh effect can be done with 18-200mm lens except there is a trick for it ... zoom it from far to the object and snap ...

HP Cyberjaya staff suffering

Is this true? ...

Recently, Hewlett-Packard (M) Sdn Bhd moved their staff from their Damansara Towers in Petaling Jaya to their so called 'campus' in Cyberjaya despite the hardship the staff have to go through. Most of these staff affected are Indian IT professionals and as I have many friends in HP, I have been hearing nothing but complaints.

Firstly, I always thought that Cyberjaya was a well-developed and well-planned place until I took some of my Indian IT professional friends there to recce the area when news about the relocation was given. As I had never been to Cyberjaya before despite being a Malaysian, I always imagined that it would be very well-developed and having a very good public transport system.

But what greeted me was shocking. The place was like a dead town, no proper public transport system. Hardly any restaurants hence getting food was a problem. And worse of all was the transport system. How do people in Cyberjaya move around if they do not have their own transport? What was Dr Mahathir Mohamad thinking when he came up with this ridiculous idea? Didn't he realise that for any place to be a success, the most important thing would be to have easy access to public transport and proper food which are essential?

There isn't even a train or LRT going directly to Cyberjaya. I think the people who designed Cyberjaya should be sacked. Currently, people working in Cyberjaya have to take a train or bus from KL to the Putrajaya station and from there take a taxi to Cyberjaya as the feeder buses are few and far between and waiting for it may cause one to be late for work as you never know when it will come.

Before HP invested such a huge sum in their campus, they should have done a survey to ensure that their staff do not have to go through so much of hardship. If they want to move their staff there, they should provide transport and give the staff additional allowances. Now they would have to leave very much earlier and come back very much later as at least 2 to 3 hours in spent just on travelling (to and fro) per day.

Many of these IT professionals work on shifts and those working the night shift have also to take a risk everytime they go to work as the area of the HP campus is very isolated and lonely and anything can happen with so many snatch thieves around these days.

I understand that HP outsouces its staff intake through several private companies. One of them is the worst staff outsourcing companies to work for. HP expatriate staff employed via this company are lowly paid and when they were relocated, no transport is arranged and neither are the staff given any additional allowances. Staff employed via this company are usually given a very raw deal (I will write on this in another letter). While HP may think that the onus is on this company to handle all these staff issues, HP fails to realise that it is HP's name and reputation which will be affected.

Going back to the HP campus, my friends who have shifted there complain that there is no water in the toilets, no canteen or food for the night shifts and even during the day when the canteen is open, the prices is ridiculous (a plate of rice and dhall cost around RM7). There is no coffee or tea facilities hence the staff have nothing to drink; the drinking water is scarce and above all, the air conditioning is freezing making it difficult for the staff to work despite wearing thick jackets.

Most of them have complained of having numb fingers and hands making it hard for them to work as they need to use their fingers for the keyboard and there is no air-cond technician to adjust the air conditioning to a bearable temperature.

I am surprised that HP being an international company can treat its staff in this shabby manner which is shocking to me. HP should emulate companies like Shell which takes very good care of their staff. They realise that unhappy staff will result in bad work performance which will eventually affect the company's performance.

Now none of the HP staff want to do standby and team leaders have problems when staff are on medical leave (MC) or go on annual leave. The bad working conditions will also see an increase in MCs. I have also been told that many staff have resigned and what is sad is that HP seems oblivious to all these.

I would like to suggest to HP the following if they wish to be a leader in the IT world :

1. First get all the staff under outsourcing company payroll to be directly under HP's as this company is affecting HP's reputation by giving such a raw deal to employees.

2. Cancel the contract with this company and instead set up a department under HP itself especially to recruit staff internationally. This way, HP saves a lot of money and they will be able to give a better deal to IT expatriates and locals as well. Currently from what I understand, this company pays the staff only a fraction of what HP pays them for each staff and most of what HP pays is taken by the company itself.

It is something like, 70% for Emerio and 30% to the staff. Of course this may vary from staff to staff but the outsourcing companies are definitely taking a bigger chunk of the salary paid by HP for each staff.

3. As HP is an international company, setting up this department instead of outsoucing will ensure that HP will be able to give better benefits and salaries to the expatriates, thereby ensuring long-term employment as if staff are happy. They will then usually stay and will also perform better. HP has to bear in mind that a happy staff means better performance and less staff turnover.

4. Ensure that their HP campus in Cyberjaya is upgraded to proper and decent working conditions. The canteen contract should be given to someone who is able to charge a reasonable rates for food and not exorbitant unaffordable rates. The canteen should be open 24-hours as HP has many staff working on shifts.

5. Make available tea and coffee-making facilities for the staff which is a standard for all companies even small ones.

6. Ensure that the air-conditioning is adjusted to a bearable temperature or they will have staff sleeping throughout the night instead of working.

7. Provide transport services from maybe KL Sentral to the HP campus and back.

8. Provide allowances for staff required to work at Cyberjaya. Currently some of the staff working in HP Cyberjaya are only being paid RM2,500 and mind you these are expatriates. Now they have to fork out additional approximately RM300 a month just for transport.

I am writing this letter on behalf of all my expatriate friends working in HP and hope that HP will proof itself

It was months ago ... hahaha ... did not have the time to upload my personal food adventure and here am I ... we saw many people dining here at Noodle Shack ... so we gave a try ...
Noodle Shack located at basement floor of Ikano Power Centre serves traditional pan mee. Is a small shop and with only few tables one can expect its always crowded.

At 2pm ... still crowded ... but luckily the food served quite fast ...

Papa, I am hungry liow ... why no food in my bowl one ... you bluff me again! ... says Dylan ...

Yve's Chinese Tea ... quite huge portion ... can be shared by two people ...

Dry Pan Mee ... not bad thou ...

Soup Pan Mee ... taste good as well ... no MSG added as pro-claimed by the restaurant

RIP My Beloved Grandma and Dylan's Great Grandma

My most loving grandma ... 1916 - 2010

It was a very sad day for my family as my grandma passed away on 4th October 2010 at age 94 years old.
I am away from office and blogging for this week as on compasionate leave and busy with the prayers service and tomorrow will be the burial ceremony at Nilai Memorial Park ...
There are some facts that you got to know my beloved late grandma ...

1. Have 14 kids (her own sons and daughters) , have 10 grandchildrens (including myself) and of course one loving Great Grandson (Dylan)

2. Admitted into hospital first time AFTER 94 years! for serious sickeness (pneunomia & shingles).

3. The best tempered and loving mom , my dad and family relative told me that Grandma did not scold and even beat them thru out their life from baby to teenage and to now. Even did not quarel with my late Grandfather too. Can we do that?

4. She is very good in creative art and paper folding ... I remembered when I was 8 yrs old ... she fold many different kind of paper animals, boats and aeroplane. I have keep them till now actually.

5. She did a eye laser at age 94 yrs old as her eye sight is not good previously. After the operation, she can see her beloved grandson, grandchildrens and her kids clearly. With that, she watched TV till late night and can tell us what time is it now.

6. At age early 90's, she still eat ice cream, chocolate and fried stuff ... we just let her ate what she wants as we want my grandma to be happy and enjoy her life.

Grandma is so happy to see Dylan clearly after she did her eye laser operation ... picture taken early this year 2010 ...

During CNY 2010 ... Grandma kiss her beloved Great Grandson ... she is happy to see Dylan grow day by day, week by week and month by month and able to play with him while he is still a baby ...

Finally, our family is blessed that my Grandma been living long till age of 94 years healthy life. She did passed away peacefully and happily as my relative watched my grandma at her last breath.
Lastly, on behalf of my family, really thanks for your condolences wishes and don't worry ... me and my family doing fine and we know Life Goes On ...

Perfect Dining Experience @ Silverspoon for my birthday dinner with Yve ...

Firstly, thanks for all the restaurant recommendation in my Facebook, finally ... me & Yve decided to go to Silverspoon after we have read many good reviews of this restaurant.
Wonder where is Dylan ? We decided last minute not to bring Dylan as he haven't got his afternoon nap, so we dropped him off at my parents house.

I simply love their unique signature spoon logo ... nice, simple and creative!

Driving and locating this restaurant is very easy ... located at a pretty unassuming part of Kepong, Silver Spoon is sitting on the first floor of Wisma Manjarala, just above the AmBank.

Love their decorations in the restaurant ...

Oh yes, love Australian Wine a lot ... can't wait to try out their wine ...

Wine Cellar ... my dream to have one like that in my home ...

Perfect place to have private party ... Yve told me next time maybe can have Dylan's birthday celebration @ here ...

That is Dylan's baby chair ... too bad, he couldn't come last minute ... dunwan him to spoilt the dinner ...

I am simply amazed by the interior of the restaurant ... very modern and high class looking ... this is the crowd at 7pm when we arrived.

It was full house by 7.30pm and I am glad I did make a reservation few days ago ...

We totally enjoy their House Pouring White Wine ... Yve told me whether to purchase a bottle back ...

The Italian Soda was nice ... refreshing!

Because only two of us dining, we couldn't afford to order so much variety as all the food menu looks way too delicious for us ...

Creamy Mushroom Soup - a blend of assorted mushrooms flavored with chicken broth & cream , a must order soup and love the bitterness coming off from the assorted mushrooms ... well-balanced bitter taste and you can feel the rich mushrooms ingredients they have used. Me and Yve rated one of the best mushroom soup in town and taste better than Lafite!

Garlic Butter Toast, only cost RM 1.50 per pc and seriously cheap actually ... was perfectly toast and love the thick flavoured garlic butter ...

Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms - Portobello Mushrooms filled with fresh breadcrumbs, herbs and grilled parmesan cheese ...

When this Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms came, Yve wonder what did it ordered ... cause it look so black and like over burnt ... hahaha ...

Once she ate it, we just love the taste and the juicy juice came out from the mushrooms itself ... the taste was excellent with the cheese ... ooo la la ... highly recommended!

Here comes our main course ... Yve's Duck Confit - A duck’s leg slowly cooked in its own fat served on grilled polenta, orange & fennel salad and vanilla sauce.

Yve did share some to me as it is very big portion and worth the price actually. I simply love the skin and the duck meat itself ... the sauce + with duck meat creates a heavenly sensation taste ... this is one of their signature dish!

OMG, here comes my Lamb Shank - tender lamb shank braised in white wine, vegetable & brown lamb stock served on potato mash ...

The portion was so huge and seriously worth the price I am paying for ... the meat was so tender and soft when I ate it ... Yve love it too ... not to forgot the huge amount of mash potato served ... taste so delicious ...

This dish can be eaten for 2 pax actually ... but for me, the portion is just right for me ... hehehe.

Here comes our dessert - Tiramisu, popular Italian trifle made of coffee & Kahlua soaked lady finger biscuits, layered with mascarpone mousse & topped with cocoa ...

Yve wanted to order the 3rd one but we are just way too full ... this is one of the best Tiramisu we have tasted ... I bet Dylan would love this a lot.

My most memorable birthday dinner for me & Yve ... perfect dining experience at Silver Spoon Trattoria, next time when me & Yve back here, we wanted to try their Pasta and Pizza ... food, price and service was excellent!

My Sichuan & Cantonese food experience @ PARKROYAL Hotel, Kuala Lumpur ...

Honestly, it been years that I did not eat Sichuan food ... seriously, maybe more than 5 years. Finally my chance to dine and have the chance to try some of the authentic Sichuan food served @ the elegant Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at PARKROYAL Hotel, KL.

Malaysia's first Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant is the 3rd branch of the Si Chuan Dou Hua chain of restaurant. The original team of master chefs opened Singapore's 1st branch at PARKROYAL on Beach Road in 1996 followed by 2nd branch at the panoramic 60th floor of UOB Plaza Singapore in 2002.

Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant features a dramatic entrance flanked by discreetly illuminated glass etchings and zen-like surroundings. It can take 145 diners at any one time.

Later this restaurant traversed boundaries and reached Malaysia with the opening of Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur in July 2003. Located at the Lower Lobby of the hotel.
