Conquer Paris in 13 hours marathon walk tour (Part 2 of 2)

@ Lover Museum ... sorry Louvre Museum
  • Here is my final part posting for my Paris holiday trip ... this is the continuation of my 13 hours marathon walk tour in Paris via metro train ... manage to see the day scene and the night scene.
  • Enjoy the pics!

Yve touching the tip of the famous pyramid glass at the Louvre Museum, Paris.

  • The Louvre Museum, originally a palace but now one of the largest and most visited museums in the world, is a must-visit for anyone with a slight interest in art.
  • Some of the museum's most famous works of art are the Mona Lisa and the Venus of Milo.

The museum is just to big for me and yve to tour in a single day ... so what we did is just walk and have a look at every of the section and of course to see the famous Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa art and Venus of Milo ...

One of the walk-way ... very long!

One of the art exhibition hall ...

The famous Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa ... protected with thick armoured glass and security guards ...

It is not east to get a perfect shot with this kind of crowd ... u have to squezzed in ur way thru those crowds ...

This is the best close-up shot I took with my 18-200mm zoom .... the original smiling Mona Lisa paint work by Leonardo da Vinci ...

You can see many historical artifacts here too ...

and sculptures too ...

The night scene of the Louvre Museum ... the famous Glass Pyramid ...

Love the moonlight ...

The most recent addition to the Louvre was the construction of the glass pyramid, which functions as the museum's main entrance. The pyramid was built in 1989 by the renowned American architect I.M. Pei. The glass pyramid allows the sunlight to come in on the underground floor.

Hotel du Louvre ... night lights by the hotel ...

My visit to The opulent Opera de Paris Garnier was designed by Charles Garnier for Emperor Napoleon III. It is the most important symbol of the 19th century Second Empire baroque style.

Beautiful night view of the Opera ... The small lake still exists under the opera building. It was the hiding place of the 'Phantom of the Opera' in Paul Leroux's famous play.

  • Hope you enjoy my Paris holiday pics ...
