Famous Fried Porridge @ Sin Aik Kee Restaurant, Kedah

As shown in the Taste with Jason tv food programme show this fried porridge in AFC channel ...
  • I was at this restaurant since May 2008 during my North Malaysia Holiday trip ... you may read this old post at here. Now I am going to re-post and share this food experience ...
  • I told Yve that Axian is showing the Fried Porridge where we have tasted before at Kedah ... seriously it is worth driving up to here and eat this special fried porridge.

Is hard to find actually and luckily got a friend who knows the direction to this restaurant ... even the customer in the show mention this ...

Love the attap roof restaurant with a bit of village environment feeling ...

Axian Poster ...

This is how Yve look at year 2008 before turning as a mommy in 2009 ...

Another of their signature this ... Assam Fish Head ... the dad owner told that he have tried several method to cook this perfect assam fish dish when he was in Thailand ... seriously good!

Here comes their famous speciality dish - Fried Porridge ... seriously it is not a dry porridge but u can taste the frying smell in the porridge ... we ordered two big bowls of this as it was way too delicious and somemore, we came all this far to have this food.

Very very delicious ...
  • You can't find this food in KL I guess ... if you do, do share with me ... I really miss this food

Oh I saw that programme on tv. Not sure if it tastes good. Doesn't look good though...all dark and mushy. I like porridge with a less thick consistency.

Thought the restaurant's in Serdang?

So this is how fried porridge looks like.... We planned for this place but didn't make it eventually because we couldn't slot in our time. Ok, now I don't have any excuse to skip the porridge!
