Taman Ayun Temple, Bali - Day 2

Beautiful place for photography, too bad it was cloudy and drizzles a bit ...
  • Day 2 was a busy schedule as I have visited many places in a day. One of them was the Taman Ayun literally translates as "beautiful garden' and is generally regarded as one of the most attractive temples of Bali.
  • Taman Ayun is a Royal Temple of Mengwi Empire situated in a beautiful park with trees and ponds, near the village of Mengwi in the south of Bali at about 8 km southwest of Ubud and 18 km northwest of Denpasar. It is strategically located beside of major roadway between Denpasar to Singaraja.

The temple is boardered by broad canals and it can only be entered via a bridge leading to a richly ornamented 'candid bentar', the gate which gives access to the outer courtyard (jaba) of the temple.

The function of Taman Ayun Temple is a place to pray the god in their manifestation.

Walking towards the entrance ...

A snapshot of the canal ...

Painted egg artwork for sale ...

The water fountain ...

The grand entrance to the Temple Ayun wordship area ...

A closeup shot of the monument sculpture

Inside of the Taman Ayun temple

The locals only can enter the holy area for prayers and offer offering to the Gods.

Yve questioned how come this picture got no angle but centered focus to the pretty ang moh ....

Another shot of the pretty ang moh ... kena tarik telinga already by Yve ....

Finally took a real photography ...

The walkway ...
  • Some people say that Taman Ayu got nothing to see and not worth to go .... to me it is worth going for photography ... if normal visit and sight-seeing, then not so worth it.
