Middle Eastern Food @ Laziz Restaurant, Solaris Mont Kiara

The real Middle Eastern food is in town ...
  • I have started to explore and love Middle Eastern food after brought by my fellow colleagues to try it out. And yet again, I have another great Middle Eastern dining experience in this Laziz Restaurant located at Solaris Mont Kiara. Situated directly opposite the Cold Storage.

LAZIZ, which mean “Delicious” in Arabic language, the restaurant features culinary delights from Middle East and a fusion of intercontinental cuisine. This restaurant was established in 2008.

Laziz atmosphere is achieved through palettes of soft tones that range from brown to sand. The interior’s warm and tranquil by its beautiful copper Arabic lightings giving you a warm feeling you’re on a journey through the Middle Eastern.

The restaurant itself reflects the texture and oasis of the desert, and the architecture and atmosphere brings you back a decade feeling as though you are in that era period of time.

Love their decorations and collections in the outlet ... really give you the middle east ambience and feeling.

I really love this cute little genie lamp ...

  • As for Laziz Menu Concept, Laziz is using Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Fresh Authentic Herbs as the base for their cooking style, and to complete the menu the Restaurant also provides organic Herbal Drinks.
  • Let me show you what I had with my friends for the foods and drinks.

Their infamous Hummus, a velvety paste of chic peas blended with Tahin oil and topped with olive oil.

The Middle Eastern Cuisine emphasize more on appetizers to be eaten with their staple diet, the bread. Their food are prepared fresh daily and is healthy for all his customers.

This is the Tabouleh, a salad with finely chopped parsley, tomatoes & crushed wheat with bit of olive oil and lemon juice. Served with pitta bread.

The healthy and yummy Pitta Bread ...

These deep fried patties with chick-pea filling are crunchy on the outside but soft on the insides. It is purely vegetarian but is really tasty.

Combined with the Hummus and the pitta bread, it made a really substantial and delicious meal.

With the Baked Mixed Vegetables, your entire meal is complete with all the nutrients you’ll need. Tomato, zucchini, lettuce, wara ainabs (grape leaves stuffed with rice & onions), fetush salad all baked and served with Hummus and Mutabal. Tangy and appetizing, makes you want to eat more.

The Laziz Mixed Grill is not for the faint hearted. If you love meat, this is your dish of choice, cos I know it is mine. The Mixed Grill comes with a combo of lamb and chicken in the form of Lamp Chops, Lamb Cubes, Shish Tawook and Shish Kebab. Awesome!

This is the Sish Tawook. Its juicy pieces of boneless chicken breast grilled to perfection and served with Garlic Sauce. The pieces are not even hard or chewy but soft and tender.

I love this Briyani Lamb so much as the meat is so soft, tender and fully juicy. With the fragrant briyani rice is superbly tasty as I’ve mentioned before.

If you need more carbs, you can order the Briyani Chicken. Laziz uses quality basmati rice. They are not stingy on the use of spices as well. It’s all quality all the way. The rice grains do not stick together like all good quality grains are and heavily aromatic with cloves. The chicken meat is superbly tasty. Just having the briyani rice alone is sufficient.

Ice Lemon Juice

Arabic peppermint tea on French press

Big Ken with small little beer mug ... I mean tea cup

Turkish coffee …. a very strong stuff which as thick as a shot of espresso

Tonight can't sleep after drinking this thick and aroma Turkish coffee ...

I spotted an Aladdin lamp! :)

I remembered passing by a Middle Eastern restaurant in Mont Kiara Solaris but I didn't try. Not sure if this is the same one. Could be.

Nevertheless, thanks to your photos, I might want to give it a try. I enjoy eating their bread dipped in hummus.

I like a restaurant that serves great tasting Iranian food (in KL...can't remember the name). Went there a few years ago. Not sure if it's still around today.

Somehow the food doesn't turn me on...except perhaps the bryani - lamb and chicken. Gosh...and I thought I'm sui-tuapui! Lose out to your friend, that's for sure.
