Maxis Dividen and Lotus F1 sponsor

Hoping for a better dividen in future ...
  • Being a Maxis shareholder ... I ought to know why did Maxis make the move to sponsor a F1 team ... is like throwing money into the sea just for the publicity. Anyway, if Maxis sees that it can return a better revenue to the company with the sponsorship , then as a company shareholder, I am fine with it.
  • I hope that Maxis can provide a better dividen payout next round ... and not REDUCED! Hoping for 9 sen and 12 sen more dividen payout since Maxis able to sponsor a F1 team.

The only thing I am happy that Maxis give dividen payout every 3 months so far ... 6 sen per share is not wat I expected, 9 sen or more mah!!! ... anyway, at least got some cash for Bali holiday now...
  • Wondering in my mind ... two telcos competitor sponsor the same F1 Lotus team ... Tune Group and Maxis ... hmm ... is like T. Fernandes vs AK ...
  • “There is money in the sponsorship. It is a firm one-year sponsorship with long intentions,” said Jean Pascal Van Overbeke, Maxis’s chief operating officer. So it is not only for the Malaysian race. But the company declined to reveal how much it was forking out for the 1 year sponsorship --> as a shareholder, i thought we are ought to know the amount of the sponsorship ... dislike this statement ... no transparency ...

How nice if Maxis logo were printed on Ferrari car ... red car ... red hotlink!
  • Is it another call of Government to help out the F1 Lotus team just like what did Govt requested Maxis to be re-listed? I know is a good thing for Malaysia local company support our own 1Malaysia F1 team ... but I just dislike the low dividen payout ... compare to last time!
  • SEPANG, April 2 (Bernama) -- Formula 1 team, Lotus Racing expects four more major sponsors to come on board this F1 season, said team principal Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes. He, however, declined to name them except to say that they were a mix of local and international sponsors.Fernandes, who also owns the Tune Group, was speaking to reporters at Lotus Team pit stop, in conjunction with a media luncheon organised by Maxis Bhd.When asked about Maxis being the latest sponsor, Fernandes said he was delighted that the country's leading telco was in the team as it showed that corporates believed in them."It means more if it is Malaysian money. It was just six months when we built the team and we have now won the crowd," he said.Meanwhile, deputy team principal SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin also agreed with Fernandes that the corporates were beginning to show interest in the team.As for Naza's involvement in the sport, he said it would be good for exchange of technology as the group is in the auto business. As to how the sponsorship could help further promote Naza's business, he said the group is currently looking at putting a global picture to its property development segment."We will be aggressive in property development and we are going outside in due course," he said, declining to say where or when. The Tune Group and Naza Group are among the shareholders of Lotus Racing.Lotus Racing drivers include Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen with Malaysia's very own Fairuz Fauzy as the test driver.-- BERNAMA
  • Anyway, I am supporting Maxis to sponsor a F1 team for branding purposes ... but not sponsor on a F1 team which is running last ... they should sponsor Ferrari instead like how Petronas sponsor Mercedes! ... why i Say this ... Ppl was telling me this ... stupid lah, Maxis car running in the last spot and cannot even finish the race ...
  • Give me your view on this?

I can say is a stupid investment and sponsorship after all.

Reduce the call charges and give more benefits to the subscribers is a much better move!

In the spirit of 1Malaysia, Maxis HAVE TO do it because our national petroluem company ditch Malaysia and sponsor Mercedes and pay Schumy to race.

You wouldn't want DiGi a non 100% malaysian company or Celcom / TM which we all know how good their branding is...

For the sake of branding, and lotus Green theme, Maxis should be the sponsor.

F1, like the Team Principal said (AirAsia boss), Lotus Racing is doing well for a rookie in Formula1 international event. Lots of money burnt but look at our results, and those 200+ malaysian hired for National F1 car, i must congratulate them for good job finishing 3 races (with at least 1 car) so far...

Btw, you know how tough to shift between gears in F1 car? That's how tough Malaysia people have to Shift the mindset "_"

Maxis DIVIDEN SUCKS BIG TIME ... now throwing the shareholder money into something won't generate revenue but publicity! I think next dividen will be 6 sens or lesser.

I agreed with telcos company sponsoring F1 team like Vodafone and Telefonica & etc sponsoring a F1 team for the future of the sports, as stated in the press not revealing the amount of actual investment into F1 is the puzzle questions to the shareholders. We care about our $$$$ investment in Maxis.

First of all, for those who think that Maxis will go above RM 10 or reach RM 15.60 when privatised, then dream for another 20 years.

Recommended for those who wants to have a good earning dividen, this is one of the stock counter to get good dividen.

It will hit RM 10 above if Maxis were to take over Celcom or Digi. So wait another 30 years for it!

For the F1 investment matter, there goes your low dividen payout to this sponsorship.
