Bak Kut Teh lunch with DiGi colleagues at Restoran Yi Xin Ge, SS4D

Lunch with my DG colleagues ...
  • Located off the LDP and close proximity to the Kelana Jaya LRT station, they serve bak kut teh and can get quite busy on weekends and during lunch hours.
  • Yi Xin Ge has been in 'bak kut teh' business for the past 40 years. Currently, the business is being managed by the second generation of the Goh Family who founded this shop.
  • For nearly half a century they have tried and tested different blends of ingredients to improve the taste of their 'bak kut teh'.

Typically busy during lunch hours. The inside is not air-conditioned, however they have many fans above that keep the patrons cool on hot days. Reliaze all my colleagues wearing green color shirts...cause it is DG celebrating Green Day in DiGi.
  • Their signature style is to add dried oysters and ginseng root to the basic ingredients of this soup. The soup is clear and smells mildly of its herbal ingredients. The soup tastes fantastic. The meat is very chewy and tender.
  • Thanks to my boss "Sek San" recommendation who brought us here to makan BKT. I will definitely bring my in-law and yve to try this BKT restaurant.

I enjoyed all the dishes and very nice and tasty. All recommended by my boss....if were me, I think I just ordered the Bak Kut Teh only.

i do think that when it comes to bak kut teh restaurant, i would too rather just order the main bak kut teh and nothing else. but the side dishes really are a variety. i still prefer the dry version of bak kut teh though
